A clinical trial is run to investigate whether a new medication for hives is better than the current treatment. 200 adults experiencing hives are given the new medication (Group 1), and after thirty minutes 12 patients still have hives. Another 200 patients are tested with the current treatment (Group 2), and 20 patients still have hives after thirty minutes. Using Ξ±=0.01, we want to test if the new medication leads to a lower rate of persistence hives than the current standard treatment.
