the parts that are omitted in the book. You may not be able to locate two major and
minor details
for each paragraph. After everyone has finished, have a class discussion
identifying Lincoln's central idea and analyzing how he develops it in the speech. If you
are not allowed to write in this book, create your outline on a sheet of paper.
