Peter is taking race car lessons from Larry. Larry rents the "Super 100" track facility to give his lessons. After classroom training, Larry forgets to instruct Peter about an extra seat-belt strap commonly used in race cars, thus when Peter begins driving he is not strapped fully in. On the second turn, there is an unexpected bump in the road due to poor maintenance during the last repaving of the track. Peter hits the bump and loses control of the car and (without the extra strap) drives his head through the window of the car, suffering significant head injuries, which cause him numerous medical bills and cause him to miss work for a significant period of time. What basic tort might Peter sue Larry for? Is there any other potential defendant for Peter to sue? If so, what would be the legal theory?
