New Neighbors By Courtney Goff On Saturday morning, I saw a moving van pull into the driveway next door. Then another car drove up in front of the house, and a family got out. The man, woman, and two kids watched as the movers opened the big back doors of the van and started unloading boxes. I had never seen anyone in front of that house, and I was curious. There was a new name painted on the mailbox at the end of the driveway. It said, "The McAlisters." The movers started carrying chairs and tables into the house, and the McAlisters followed them inside. All four of the movers had to lift a large piano together and carry it across the lawn. The two kids who had gone inside the house came back outside. It looks like the McAlisters have a son and a daughter, I thought. There were not very many kids on our block. I was excited to have someone new to play with. The McAlisters' daughter began bouncing a basketball on the sidewalk in front of the house. I could not help but wonder if she would want to try out for the school basketball team with me After a while, my sister Annie joined me at the window "What is going on?" she asked. "It looks like we are getting new neighbors," I replied. 2 According to the story, what do the movers lift and carry together? O A. a piano O B. a basketball ○ C. a van O D. a mailbox Reset Next
