Conduct research on the July 2016 police ambush attack that happened in Dallas, Texas and discuss the following scenario:
Typically, as a Forensic Psychologist in a police department, you are viewed as an "outsider" by the officers and as someone who does not have an understanding of their experiences. Imagine that your client - the Dallas Police Department - has recently taken part in handling the tragic police ambush that claimed the lives of five fellow officers.
1. Identify an intervention that you would implement with the police department after the tragic event happened.
2. Explain why you chose that particular intervention, and how you would combat the challenge of being viewed as an "outsider" while implementing this specific protocol.
3. In addition, discuss how the racial and/or ethnic background of an officer may impact their response to the tragic event and to your intervention.
