Overview:
In this assignment, you will create one fully developed paragraph in which you respond
to a question with a clear topic sentence, a quote from the article, and supporting
sentences. You will practice writing in the third-person point of view.
Instructions:
In this assignment, you will have read the 5Cs of Writing article from this unit’s readings
and resources about effective writing. You will answer the following question in one fully
developed paragraph written in the third-person point of view.
• Which of the 5Cs do you think is most important to writing in general and
professional writing in particular? Be sure to explain why fully.
• The article lists five characteristics related to effective writing. After reading the
above article, you will write one paragraph that shares your thoughts and ideas
on the question. In the paragraph, you must directly quote from the article. You
should use a proper in-text citation after the quote and include the reference
listed above on a References page at the end of the assignment.
