You've probably heard of coyotes, but what about Australia's dingos? The coyotes of North America and the dingos of Australia are similar in many ways. The coyote is a type of wild dog in the Canidae (dog) family, which includes wolves, foxes, and domesticated dogs. Likewise, the dingo is a member of the Canidae family. Both coyotes and dingos are of similar size, with a lean, muscular build. Both species live and hunt alone or in pairs, occasionally grouping together in small packs. Coyotes not only prey on small animals like mice and rabbits but also eat fruits, vegetables, and grasses. Dingos, too, are omnivores with a similar diet.
