It was the first day of school and Kiley was nervous to ride the bus. She seemed to always have problems when she rode the bus to school last year, so her mom started to drive her. This school year, her mom got a new job and could no longer drive Kiley to school. Kiley wondered who she would sit with, worried that she would miss the bus, and was scared that others would bother her. "Bus is here," her mom called rushing Kiley towards the door. Frowning, she kissed her mom goodbye and slowly headed towards the bus. She took an empty seat in the middle of the bus, looking around at all the children she didn't know. Everyone was laughing and talking about their summer vacation while Kiley sat alone nervously twirling her har. "Kleyl" she heard. She looked up and spotted her friend from soccer. "I'm taking the bus this school year, fool" she told her. Kiley scooted aver to make room for her friend. She no longer was frowning.
