As a shop owner, the unfair policies and taxes brought onto us by the British have been affecting us for way too long. We are having our freedom taken away from us and we need to stand up for what's right. I see people every day going through financial struggles because of the British. I have seen the Stamp Act, Currency Act, Townshend Act, and Declaratory Act all of which were brought on by the British. I try and educate others on why we need to stand up for ourselves and why what the British are doing is very wrong and harmful to us all and our economy. I lead a group at my shop after hours which involves people like myself who support the American Revolution. During these meetings, we plan on the best ways to spread the word and how others can become supporters like us. We are determined to establish a new nation founded on principles of liberty and justice for all. One of the activities the group does is hand out Thomas Paine's famous pamphlet "Common Sense", to help people educate themselves on the injustices of British rule and the importance of breaking free from it.
