The solution is not to abolish all modern
farming methods, but to carefully introduce
practices that make them less damaging.
Permaculture's ethics are admirable, and
some of its methods are applicable to
meeting current food demands. However,
every farm will need a different set of
practices that best suit its own needs, and this
will not always result in the perfect self-
sustaining farm. A flexible and practical, not
idealistic, approach must be used as we
move into the future.
