Explain how to use Transactional and Interactional techniques to motivate your project team for your project.
Here is my project so far:
My personal project selection is one that I am currently on right now, it started three years ago and possibly has two to three more still left to go. I work in the construction industry, and I am a master electrician currently employed at J.C. Driskill Inc, a government support contractor working on a battalion complex at Fort. Eustis Army & Airforce Joint Operations Base. The complex consists of two sections, the Hanger, and the Operations Building. The Hangar is a 225,000 square-foot secure facility with multiple stories and aircraft paint shop. It will house fixed wing and rotary-wing aircraft bays, tool room, repair, Aircraft Life Saving Equipment, rotor balance, and wash shops. The Hanger section will also house operational and administrative spaces including Controlled Access Area or CAA, training areas, troop area, storage and support areas, and an uninterruptible power supply. The Operations Building is a 125,000 square-foot secure facility with multiple levels that will house operational and administrative spaces including a CAA with an armory, private and open offices, multi-purpose team room, conference, training, storage, personnel support spaces. These personal support spaces include a kitchen/serving, medical aid station, physical therapy, locker rooms, laundry, restrooms, and this section will also have an uninterruptible power supply. The site was projected to be completed by the end of May according to the terms of the initial contract, however the project is a design-build project, meaning it is a one-of-one, most buildings and facilities are a cookie-cutter or mock of an already existing facility. This factor, along with labor shortages, constant changes and material price fluctuation has caused major delays, the project probably has two to three more years until completion. Our outfit has an extraordinary PM that has designed and helped correct the majority of all the electrical systems, and then there is a superintendent and three foreman, which I am a part of. My knowledge is limited of a lot of the exact dollar amounts of contracts outside of what you can see online, however the total cost of the project ranges between $100,000,000 to $250,000,000. This being the case electrical would probably range from $30,000,000 to $60,000,000.
