Johara is the senior quality control (QC) inspector and has been appointed team leader of the QC people on her crew. On separate occasions, two of her people have come to her with different suggestions for reporting test results to the machine operators. Paul wants to send the test results to the manage and then to the machine operators, since the manager is the person ultimately responsible for production output. Jim thinks the results should go directly to the lead operator on the machine in question since he is the one who must take corrective action as soon as possible. Both ideas seem good and Johara can find no ironclad procedures in the department on how to route the reports.
