EXPERIMENT: FOOD RECORD
Here are your goals for this lesson:

Record your diet for a week utilizing the chart
Write a description of the foods eaten in each category

Complete a log of your diet for one week. Use the chart below as a guide to record the information requested. Keep a record in the ESSAY document at the end of the page.

After every meal or snack, estimate how much of each food group you ate. Keep track of this and enter in the appropriate box. If you have satisfied the recommended amount for all of the food groups, check that day at the end of the chart.

There are several resources online and in the App Store of your smartphone that you may utilize for this project. You will be able to calculate the recommended amounts of each category and the types of food that fit into each category. Additionally, you will be able to input your age, gender, physical activity, weight and height and the program will generate a daily food plan for a more personalized approach.

Once you have completed the information requested in the chart below, write up a description of the foods you ate in each of the categories listed in the chart. Evaluate your diet in terms of nutritional balance.
