Sarah immediately began oxygenating the patient, and provided Naloxone, believing the patient’s presentation to be an opioid drug overdose. The patient slowly became more conscious, and after 10 minutes the patient was alert and oriented. The patient suddenly became very angry, stating that Sarah had “ruined my hit”. The patient then walked away and wouldn’t respond to Sarah or her partner’s calls for him to stop. Later that day the patient presented to Police and stated that Sarah had assaulted him, by providing unwanted medical care without his consent.
