1. Friendships tend to change as people age. Infants are playful by nature. Students who like playing sports
connect and become friends. As we grow old, our responsibilities
increase and we, then, look for friends
with whom we can share our professional
lives and personal issues. We look for friends who would stand
by us during crises.
However, there are a few qualities that we look for in a friend, irrespective of our age.
2. A survey was conducted across 5 schools in Nagaland to identify the qualities people value in a friend.
3. Out of the 320 respondents, 211 were females and 109 were males in the age group of 11-13 years. The
following figure 1
displays the results.
