Expository Writing - Academic Research Essay - 20% (Week 5 – Due in Week 9)



Instructions:

Write an expository Academic Research Essay (600-700 words) about ONE of these topics.

Choose ONE of these essay topics:

Describe the effects of music on mental and physical health.
What are the similarities and differences between traditional media versus modern media?
To what extent has social media changed our access to the news? Discuss.
Evaluate the effects of technology on the future of work in North America.
Please FOLLOW these steps:

Choose ONE of the topics and analyze the essay title/question.
Do your research and find 3-5 reliable sources relevant to your topic. Remember to paraphrase, use in-text citations, and include full References following the APA style. The ideas in the essay must be supported and developed using research.
Plan and write the essay using academic language and appropriate paragraphs. Include an introduction and a conclusion paragraph. Write effective topic sentences for the body paragraphs using the guidelines from the course.
Include a Title page and revise your essay using the 7 Cs of Writing.
Proofread and check your essay and submit it here before the deadline.
The References and Title page are NOT included in the word count.
You must only submit the essay in a WORD DOCUMENT file.
Remember to paraphrase your research, use in-text citations, and include References following the APA style to avoid plagiarism. You must use the Microsoft Word Document format.
