One factor that influenced the development of the Southern Colonies is transportation because Southern Colonies have cash crops but no transportation to transport rice, indigo, and other cash crops to markets and people. The other major factor could be slavery because they will be having less profit as there is less population and more slaves in the Southern Colonies.
