1. Find the distance Sonya traveled:
20-8=12
12x1000feet=12000feet
2. Find the time it took Sonya to travel this distance:
Starting time: 3:10
Finish time: 3:14
Difference= 4min
3. Use the speed formula: S=D/T
S=12000feet/4min
S=3000feet/min
