divide both sides by 3

so this one is tricky
-2(7x+4)=36
2y-(y-5)=9
so if we simplify these equations we get
-2(-7x+4)=36
distribute
14x-8=36
add 8 to both sides
14x=44
divide both sides by 14 we get
x=44/14=22/7= 3 and 1/7
2y-(y-5)=9
remember that -(y-5)=-1(y-5) so
distribute
2y-y-(-5)=9
add like terms
y+5=9
