This is also a plant division, which is made of of three different 'families. These are woody plants, that have been grounded by gymnosperms. These are also known as gnetophytes. There are more than 70 specifies, across three 'families'- the Gnetum, Welwitschia and Ephedra. These only date back to the early Crustacean period (between 145-66 million years ago).
