Most likely, had Alexander lived, he would have been very unsuccessful in the ruling of his empire. Alexander was known for his lack of person political control over the regions which he conquered. After defeating the areas military power, Alexander placed an individual in charge of the region, and then moved on in order to conquer even more land. This caused political disputes and inequalities between regions; this was eventually outweight by the cultureal diffusion due to the trade that was now able to occur between regions of the extensive empire. This led to the diffusion of the Greek culture and language throughout the conquered lands, while also establishing a common currency and language.
