Geography shapes society in many ways that can effect the way people live depending on the area.  If it is a grassland natural remedies and hunting and herding of animals become there way of life. If it is rolling hills farming and herding of animals becomes there style of life. If near a river, lake , ocean fishing and farming will become what the society does. So society is greatly impacted by what the geography of the land is because that is what they can do there and that is how they have to live.
