By tradition, the presidential campaign formally begins when a candidate is officially nominated at the national convention.

After which the Candidates will now go round the country to made their views known and explain to eligible voters what they intend to do for them and the country at large.
Candidates could also take part in debates with other candidates from another political party. The two main political parties in the United States are the Democrat and the Republican.
