It is too simple to blame the fall of Rome on one issue because their were a number of issues that combined which led to the fall of the Roman Empire. There were external issues such as the invasions of Northern Germanic tribes as well as internal problems including power struggles between Christian leaders and the Roman leader. These are just a few of the issues which led to the decline of the Roman Empire.
