Federal judges are appointed for life. Congress cannot remove them unless they violate a law (which almost never happens). Congress cannot restrict a judge or even lower his or her salary. Why are judge's given this job security?

Answer :

Judge's are given this job security because the framers felt that it be essential for judge's to be independent of outside influence so that they may make decisions based purely on the law without fear of retribution from Congressmen, Presidents or anyone else who may disagree with their decision.
