It would cause problems for a gardener because the gardener would have minimal control of where the seed were going and germinating. Most gardeners have their gardens set up in an orderly fashion (each plant in its own section) so if seeds of one type of plant went to another area that plant would be out of place. IN CONCLUSION a gardener would have a very hard time keeping specific plants in their proper location.
