From what I can tell, the answer to the first problem is A, and the answer to the second problem is 4 units up.
The reason the first answer is A, is because if you count from point C to point K there is a total of three squares. Also, rotating and reflecting this image would give you different results.
The second answer is 4, because counting from A to A' there are a total of 4 squares (units), hence the answer of four.
