Answer :

If we buy  60 roses we buy 60/12=5 packages. 
4.5=20 red roses.

Since the number of red roses is proportional in all the packages, the equation we are trying to solve is:

[tex]x =\frac{60}{3} = \boxed{20}[/tex]
