A ball weighs 200n on earth is moved to a planet that has a mass four times larger and a diameter three times larger than that of earth. After the ball is moved what is its mass and weight?

Weight = (mass) x (acceleration of gravity where the object is).

On Earth, G = 9.8 meters/ sec² .

200 N = (mass) x (9.8)

Mass = 200/9.8  kilograms = about 20.408 kg.  This doesn't change.

Acceleration of gravity is directly proportional to the mass of the planet, and inversely proportional to the square of the planet's radius.

So if the planet'smass quadruples and its diameter is multiplied by 3, then
the acceleration of gravity on its surface is

             (4) / (3²) = (4/9 x 9.8) m/s² .

The object's mass is still 20.408 kg.  That doesn't change.

Its weight is (earthly weight) x (4) / (9) =  (88 and 8/9) newtons.
