To what extent was the election of 1800 aptly named the “Revolution of 1800”? Respond with reference to TWO of the following areas: economics, foreign policy, judiciary, politics.

Answer :

The Election of 1800, in which Jefferson beat Adams for the presidency, was largely seen as a revolution in the sense that it ushered in a period of Republican values at odds with Federalism. This was less of a big deal than it seemed, however, as Jefferson did many things as president (such as purchase the Louisiana Territory) that would have been him cringe only months before.
