If a ferris wheel diameter is 250 ft. Find it's cirumference. Give an exact answer and an approximation using 3.14 for pi how do I come up with this answer I keep trying but cant figure it out

Answer :

Circumference = πd
C= 250(3.14)
C=785

AL2006

The circumference of ANY circle is (pi) times (diameter).  Doesn't matter
if it's one tiny link in the silver chain of a necklace or the circular orbit of
a planet.

             Circumference = (pi) times (diameter) .

Please memorize that.  In high school, you should already have it memorized.

The diameter of the ferris wheel is 250-ft.

   Exact answer:     Circumference = 250 pi feet

You can't write the exact answer completely in numbers,
because you can't write 'pi' completely in numbers.

   Approximation using pi = 3.14 :

                             Circumference = (250) x (3.14) = 785 feet
