During Franco's reign, Televisión Española (TVE) was established in 1956. Since Franco was dictator, the television was known for its monopolistic and propagandist character. Around 1964, the television created several production centers around Spain. Most of them were news agents. Between 1964 and 1971, TVE produced different news and entertainment programs. They were two main highly-demanded programs.
