In the Roman society, in a City, a priest is involved in choosing the site on which to build Verbonia. this simply implies that Ancient Romans valued and trusted the judgement of their religious leaders.Most of the buildings in the roman cities are built on what they believed "healthy places". Like that of Vebonia, a Roman priest evaluated and examined the liver of a rabbit and a pheasant from the place. When the examination and investigation is over, and found out that the liver of the said animals "no fault", the choice of the site is finally confirmed and official because they believed that the place has no still pools, thus, the place was healthy. Afterwhich, the gods are thanked.
