What are the possible directions of a relationship?
1) negative (aka direct): as one variable increases, the other variable increases. Or vice versa: as one variable decreases the other variable increases.
2) positive (aka direct): as one variable increases, the other variable decreases. Or vice versa: as one variable decreases the other variable increases positive (aka direct): as one variable increases, the other variable increases. 3) negative (aka inverse): as one variable increases, the other variables decreases. Or vice versa: as one variable decreases the other variable increases.
