Research and describe a recent (past 12 months) mass wasting event (14 sentences or more, include refs.). Apply the terminology in Figure 15.17 to your description. That means calling your event a slump, rock fall, debris flow etc. based on whether water was a factor and how fast or slow the event was. Find different examples than your classmates. Don't use the ones in the book. Recent examples include Colorado rock falls that took out parts of I-70, California cliffs collapsing, and fatal snow avalanches.
