Part 1: List Digestive System Parts

- List a minimum of 12 parts of the digestive system and their locations.
- Example: The appendix is located on the right side of the body under the ascending colon.
- You may include a photo or picture from your text, lecture, or an online source.

Part 2: Label Digestive System Parts with Mechanisms

- Identify the following parts: mouth, small intestine, esophagus, stomach, and large intestine.
- Label each part with the appropriate mechanisms: propulsion, absorption, chemical digestion, and mechanical digestion.
- Note: More than one mechanism can occur in each part.

Part 3: Define Digestive Mechanisms

- Define the following mechanisms in 2-3 sentences each: propulsion, absorption, chemical digestion, and mechanical digestion.

- 5 points (10-11 parts)
- 4 points (9-6 parts)
- 3 points (5 parts)
- 2 points (4 parts or less)

- Define the mechanisms:
- 3 sentences each
