A 1.0 kg book is lifted 0.5 m above the table , but the table is 1.0 m above the floor , what would be the P.E of the book if the reference level where the floor ?

Answer :

sairah
The height of the book from the ground = 1.0 m + 0.5 m = 1.5 m

The mass of the book = 1 kg

We know that =

[tex]P.E.=m*g*h[/tex]

Taking 'g' as 9.8 m/s² and putting the values in the formula we get -

[tex]P.E.=1*9.8*1.5[/tex]

[tex]P.E.=14.7[/tex] [tex]Joules[/tex]
