Answer :

Answer:

Animals play important role in the cycling of water as well as carbon in the biosphere.

They help it by the process of respiration.

Role in water cycle: Animals release water in the form of water vapors as a part of exhaled air. The evaporated water then escapes into the atmosphere where it condenses to form clouds as the temperature decreases.

Then, due to the combined effect of temperature and gravitation the water precipitates in the form of rain, snow, fog et cetera.

Role in carbon cycle: Animals also release carbon dioxide (a waste product of cellular respiration) in the exhaled air.

This carbon dioxide is cycled and is used by plants for the process of photosynthesis.

In addition, when the dead animals and plants are decayed they return carbon to the environment in the form of organic matter and fossil fuels.

Later, when these fossil fuels are burnt they return carbon to the atmosphere in the form of carbon dioxide.
